Payment failed, still confirming or interrupted: what to do

Read the payment status first. The existing purchase tells you whether to retry, continue or wait for confirmation.

Confirming payment

Keep the existing purchase open while confirmation is in progress. This state takes precedence over the room sale ending. A closed gateway window or a lost connection is not proof that a payment failed.

If the result is uncertain, use the existing status check. Do not create another payment attempt before reconciliation.

Try it yourself

Preparing practice…

A definite failure

When the app offers Payment failed. Try again, use that purchase’s retry action. If the offer has ended or the listing is unavailable, a generic retry must not reopen buying.

Order failed concerns creating the purchase; payment failure concerns paying for an accepted purchase. Follow the action actually offered by the current state.

Interrupted checkout

Use Continue payment or the existing Pay control when it remains valid. Open My orders to find the purchase. The payment must still be eligible within its own deadline.

  1. Find the existing purchase in the pin or My orders.
  2. Read its current status.
  3. Continue or retry only when the app offers that action.
  4. If the outcome is still unknown, check status and wait.

Cancellation and a new purchase

Cancellation progress says Cancelling…. After checkout is definitively cancelled, a new Buy uses the current price. An active payable or uncertain payment continues to block another payable attempt.

In this practice flow, you choose a fictional outcome. No payment details are collected and no payment requests are made.
